Planes crashing on roads?

Thursday, October 27, 2011
CBC News
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/story/2011/10/27/bc-richmond-plane-crash.html

A small charter air plane hits two light standards just before crashing on the roadway. Luckily no car vehicles were hit from the accident. This accident happened in Richmond, B.C. near Vancouver. Unfortunately when the plane crashed, nine injuries occurred and all nine passenger were rushed too Richmond Hospital.

When I read this article, I was thinking how careless the pilot must have been. The pilot duties of an aircraft is to make sure the reach their destination and that all passengers are save and home. A pilot is ultimately responsible for its operation and safety during the flight. I hope this pilot is fired. He should be more aware of the light standards and avoid colliding into them. Hopefully the airline does not get in trouble for hiring a careless employee.

Baby Arza Karaduman was pulled alive from the building in Ercis. Rescuer Kadir Direk was chosen to help save the baby since he was the smallest member of his crew. Kadir Direk was successful of rescuing Arza and her mother. Unfortunately, 432 people died from this earthqauke and 1,300 people are injured.

When I read this story, I was in shock. It was very sad and devastated. I realized how fortuante I am to live in such a great society. I realize how fortuante that I have a great family. Reading this article should make you feel how fortunate you are. It also should tell you, dont take things for granted. I am very happy for this young born but very sad for turkey. Losing 432 man is awful and also seeing your community destroyed is not pleasant either.

100 year old man runs marathon ?

Monday, October 24, 2011
National Post
http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/10/24/centenarians-bid-for-marathon-record-hits-road-block-report/

100 year old Fauja Singh, nickname "The Turbaned Tornado" ran a marathon which was 42.2 Kilometers. Fauja singh had told the Guinness World Records that he was going to break the record for the oldest man to run a marathon. Guinness World Records can't receive proof that Fauja is 100 years old. Fauja has to give Guinness World Records a birth certificate from 1911. Fauja has been running apparently since hes been 89 years old. If Fauja can give Guinness World Records his birth certificate and it shows that hes born in 1911, he will receive 5 awards for breaking 5 Guinness World Records.

I believe Fauja Singh shouldn't not be declared the oldest marathoner in the world. If Fauja is having trouble giving his birth certificate, than there must be a problem. If he keeps on waiting, he will probably make a fake birth certificate. If Fauja is 80 years old than he should keep up the great work. Running at a old age is very difficult and its a great accomplishment for Fauja to achieve that goal.

http://business.financialpost.com/2011/10/18/rim-unveils-next-generation-bbx-platform/

Blackberry future revolves around there new generation, BBX. The new software platform was unveiled at the Waterloo, Ont.company's annual developer conference is San Francisco. The new platform will power all of RIM’s future BlackBerry smartphones and BlackBerry PlayBook tablets and is based on the QNX software that currently powers the company’s PlayBook tablets. After blackberry had made there announcemnt on there new software, shares of "Rim rose nearly 2% on the Tornto Stock Exchange to $23.00.""The BBX platform will include BBX-OS, and will support BlackBerry cloud services and development environments for both HTML5 and native developers. BBX will also support applications developed using any of the tools available today for the BlackBerry PlayBook – including Native SDK, Adobe AIR/Flash and WebWorks/HTML5, as well as the BlackBerry Runtime for Android Apps – on future BBX-based tablets and smartphones." Also blackberry developed a brand new tools and services known as "BlackBerry Jam." This new tool is designed to make it easier for developers to create applications. Blackberry is trailing behind Apple Inc.'s IOS platform as well as google Inc's android platform in terms of number of applications. Also Rim is in second with most profitable application marketplace, being apple's app store. Blackberry has had a huge success in Black berry messange (BBM) and has more than 50 million customers who are actively using it.

I believe RIM is getting there act together. Rim was the leading device for the last 7 years and have been going down lately in the last 2 years. There biggest competitor Apple is continues hitting the stage and continually doing better. RIM's biggest hit has been Black berry messanger. Hopefully with there new software, there stocks will increase and they'll get back to the leading board with apple. I see full potential in RIM and can't wait until there device is number one again.

Ontario Election debate on health care!

The Ontario election debate took off and had a debate today . One of the questions involved health care. Each party had there time to discuss there plan about health care. Dalton McGinty who has been Ontario's MP for the last eight years had discuss his plan. Dalton says that Ontario has the shortest wait times in the Canada. He also said Canada doctors per family has grew. Apparently 1.3 million families have a doctor. Mr.McGinty had also said that Ontario has improved 18 new hospitals. Mr.McGinty believes since health care has improved that kids have excelled in school. Mr.McGinty put one billion dollars in electronic health and believes this is the way towards the future. The New Democrat Party had it spokes. Andrea Horwath who is the leader believes Ceo should lower there salaries so they can have enough money to pay for more nurses. Ms. Horwath believe that the Health care is a long term investment. She would like patience in the health care. Ms.Horwath would like to add a new program for seniors, so they can stay longer at there homes unlike retirement homes. The Progressive Conservatives also had there turn to speak. Tim Hudak represented the Progressive Conservatives and believed health care should be Ontario's number one priority investment. He believes 6.1 billion dollars should go towards health care. Mr.Hudak wants to create jobs and focus on education and health care.

I believe Mr.Hudak had a create debate. I enjoyed his statements and agree 90 percent. I believe the number one investment priority is health care. As the population increases, its smart that the manual fund for health care increases. I was not a fan of Dalton McGinty. He has been Ontario's MP for the last eight years and has done nothing but increase gst and hst and hydro bills. Why should we keep paying these high bills and were not achieving much? Dalton Mcginty didn’t promise anything , he believes that his plan which they have been using for the last eight years will help the economy. I believe Ms. Horwarth is a joke! Why should we have the same manaul fund if the population is growing. Also why should we lower CEO'S salary? People who are working hard shouldn’t deserve less. Instead of lowering a salary we should spend more money on the situation, like Mr.Hudak. If I was the legal age to vote, you would know my vote! Vote Hudak!
